Just when I figured out how to maneuver these waters, I am off to chart a new course over here.

I am excited. I am sad. I am nervous and I am confident that this is the right decision.

So, me and my hubby packed our bags and jumped a flight to Austin, TX. We are sitting on a floor blogging and taking photos, respectively, at day two of South by Southwest (SXSW).

Most folks here have odd colored hair, some version of a Mac and an orange lanyard.

They hoard power outlets and they wait in hour-long lines for coffee. Some of them have not bathed in a while.

Oddly enough, I have spotted seven men wearing kilts. One is standing above me now, in fact. Also, I am apparently sitting next to some famous Swedish gal.

People keep looking at me funny — Dave says it is because I look normal and have a natural hair color.

At any rate, this place is cool. The food is fabulous, there are tortilla chips everywhere and I just bought a pair of bright blue shoes.  And really, what more does a girl need on vacation?
