3 years, 6 months, 3 days of FlackRabbity goodness
I’ve owned this FlackRabbit site for 3 years, 6 months and 3 days. If you look through the archives (down there to the right) you’ll see that I’ve gone from random bi-weekly chatter, to months without content, to now – I mostly write about PR, social media, geeky things, productivity and customer service.
I’ve only recently become addicted dedicated to the daily feeding and watering of my blog. During the past couple of months something really freakin cool has happened: ALL YOU GUYS SHOWED UP.
This blog started out as an effort to put my personal thoughts into writing. You know, something that didn’t talk about early childhood brain development or qualified as a press release. It was just writing practice; no big whoop.
Now, you guys regularly – just today in fact (Hi Randy!) – point out in face-to-face conversation that you read this blog. Yesterday, MaryBeth and LL did the same thing.
You comment on the things I write. You take the time to communicate your own thoughts when you disagree with what I’ve said. You laugh at it; you even link to it. It’s crazy.
Knowing that you busy, talented, smart, and fancy folks read this blog is the most amazing thing ever. Except for that time I rode the Zamboni at the Preds game. It’s all very humbling and I just wanted to say thanks for reading my thoughts and sharing yours.

Geek Note: Did you know that Google, Website Grader, etc will give you a higher page ranking and whatnot if you have your domain name registered for more than one year? Hubby just renewed this site for five years and my Website Grader score went from a 78 to an 85 overnight. Here’s how they justified that:
Google and other search engines like to see domains that have been registered for extended periods of time as this shows a commitment to the domain name. It also is an indicator that this website is not a temporary spam site.
Who knew?!
