Thanks for this! I’ve been running this idea by a few colleagues to no a lot of “its been done”, but I haven’t seen it lately. I needed the motivation to get it started in NY (flacks and the journalists who hate them) and this might just have done the trick.

As one of your regulars, I think there are two other key factors:

Venue – Chophouse is perfect. It’s convenient, service is great and $2.50 beer. Sets the tone for the event.

No Agenda – You don’t ask people to do anything other than show up.
