Baltimore/DC Metro area company is searching for an Interactive
Communications Specialist
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the
development and management of all interactive assets (websites,
video and intranet, etc.) with the assistance of the
interactive agency, as directed by the global interactive
team. The ideal candidate would have been an experienced
project manager or responsible for managing CMS. The candidate
will need to identify new business opportunities and coordinate
the rollout of corporate initiatives on the North American
websites (US and Canada). The candidate will provide input on
the development and enforcement of Internet guidelines for all
North American retail partners. The candidate will also have
demonstrated experience in web analytics, and a strong working
knowledge of the social economy of the Internet and be a
committed power user of social media communities and tools,
with a solid understanding of how to drive consumer engagement
within online social networks, and a strong interest in web
technology and emerging trends.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in
web communications, with a basic understanding of branding,
marketing, and customer relations. Examples of previous work
will show excellent writing skills, a compelling voice, editing
savvy, and commitment to journalistic integrity. Ability to
write concise copy and meet deadlines is an absolute must. The
successful candidate will have an insatiable curiosity, the
ability to multi-task, desire to learn new things, and ability
to adapt changes in both technology and scope quickly.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors Degree
• 3 – 5 years experience as project manager or working with
CMS systems
• Experience with generation of web content on various platforms
• Active involvement in social media networks: blogs, digg,
Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with website metrics analysis,
evaluating results and providing recommendations and reporting
to key stakeholders
• Experience with social media monitoring or acquiring
resources for social media monitoring
• Experience with day-to-day management of web content
• Basic knowledge of web site development and platform builds,
• Keen understanding of search engine optimization and search
engine marketing fundamentals and how to optimize landing page
content
• Rudimentary knowledge of web site development and design
builds as well as search engine marketing
• Fluency in CMS systems (Sitecore and Sitecore Online
Marketing Suite preferred)
• Flash and HTML required

• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Creativity and a willingness to experiment
• Must be able to perform well in a deadline-driven, rapidly

• Ability to write complex technical instructions concisely and
